Job description:

The Theory Test Contract and Operational Support Officer is responsible for the supporting the management of one of two

Theory Test Contracts:

Test Centre Network (TCN) or the Test Engine and Test Content Management (TETCM) and the operational management of the services provided through these contracts.


The post holder will work with the Contract Manager and Operational Delivery Manager to ensure that the day-to-day contract obligations of the suppliers are met, and that the administration of the management of the contracts is effective.

They will support the Operational Delivery Manager in the administration of changes to operational delivery that are in the best interests of the Service.

Manage TCN-raised incidents, working with the supplier to achieve an effective resolution


Be responsible for supporting the production of Key Performance Indicator (KPI) by collating information that has been produced and supporting the analysis of information by team members.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support the administration of contract and operational documentation for the Theory Test Service Contracts
  • Support the routine financial reporting and invoice reconciliation, producing reports for Contract and Operational Delivery Manager for one of the Theory Test Services.
  • Support the analysis of data reports to help the operational and contractual management of supplied services
  • Provide secretariat support for Contract management Boards including the producing of outputs for circulation
  • Deal with general enquiries from suppliers of Theory Test Services, along with other key stakeholders.
  • Produce KPI performance reports for each supplier
  • Support the processing of TCNraised incidents and customerrelated decisions that require DVSA approval (i.e. nonstandard accommodations)
  • Ensure good relations and communications with all members of the team and responding politely and in a timely fashion to internal and external customers
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to manage key customers, thereby improving key Agency stakeholder relations
  • Execute management responsibilities effectively and in line with DVSA policies and processes, planning and coordinating tasks and activities and taking responsibility for ensuring objectives are delivered.

Additional information
Regular travel will be required to our Nottingham and other DVSA locations, including overnight stays on occasions.
