We have an opportunity for a HR Advisor to join our HR team in Gateshead.

You will be joining a busy team in a fast paced, FMCG business, reporting to the HR Manager.


The purpose of this role is to support the HR Manager in delivering a fully comprehensive, generalist HR service to the business.


How you can bring value to GPI:

  • Supporting managers with Employee Relations queries and providing sound HR advice throughout informal and formal processes
  • Support the HR Manager in the delivery of employee engagement initiatives.
  • Lead on recruitment processes, including placement of agency staff.
  • Management of absence cases and providing reports on site absence levels.
  • Onboarding of new joiners, including issuing of new starter paperwork
  • Liaising with the Payroll Team to ensure all information is processed accurately.
  • Identifying training opportunities for employees and supporting the delivery where required


  • HR paperwork

  • CoE, change to terms, leavers and all other ad hoc admin tasks
  • Reporting on HR metrics as and when required

You are:

  • Ability to prioritise your workload in a fastmoving environment
  • Previous HR experience
  • Strives for continuous improvement and personal development
  • Personable and friendly approach
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of employment law
