_Adele Carr Financial Recruitment_ is partnering up with a growing, SME organisation on the Wirral who are keen to appoint a
Finance Manager on a full time, permanent basis.
This is a pivotal role within the business, supporting the MD and board with accurate, financial reporting and analysing business performance.
Heading up the function, the successful applicant, will be the main, go to person within accounts with one direct report.
You will manage compliance and controls and take ownership of all financial processes, ensuring management accounts, cash flow and VATis recorded accurately.
The hiring manager is seeking a newly qualified accountant, (ACCA, CIMA, ACA), although, applicants who are qualified by experience will be considered.
You will be a self-motivated, hardworking individual with the drive and ambition to make the role their own.
The ideal applicant will possess leadership qualities with the confidence and expertise to manage the department and train up team member.
The successful new appointment will enjoy a level of autonomy and responsibility and whilst working closely with the Managing Director, will receive lots of exposure and manage the relationships with third party providers including external accountants.
Applicants who are willing to put in the time and effort, are ready to put their own stamp on a role and can come up with new initiatives to improve controls and processes will be highly sort after.
The Finance Manager will be responsible for:
- Supporting the MD with accurate financial reporting
- Heading up the accounts function and ensuring all processes and procedures are robust and fit for purpose
- Supervising, training and coaching 1 direct report
- Ensuring management accounts are accurately produced including variance analysis
- Balance sheet reconciliation
- Prepare quarterly VAT returns
- Bank reconciliations, cash flow forecast
- Produce budgets, forecasting
- Oversea purchase and sales ledger transactions
- Perform payment runs, manage vendors and suppliers, queries
- Assist with yearend accounts, liaise with auditors
- Projects, improve controls and processes, reduce manual workloads
The ideal applicant, will be:
- Seeking to work on the Wirral on a permanent basis
- Familiar to working in an SME environment and taking on responsibility
- A proven, professional accountant who is selfmotivated and handson
- Capable of working well under pressure, meeting deadlines with mínimal supervision
- Possess strong communication, analytic and organisational skills
- Ability to work with individuals across the business and liaise with external customers, suppliers, contacts
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and Sage
**This is a 2 stage interview process with interviews being pencilled in for next week.
