About the role

You will be working on a 1-1 basis with a student in year one who has a diagnosis of Pathological Demand Avoidance.

You will need very good behaviour management skills, be able to be a good positive role model and set a clear structure for the student tofollow.

Pathological Demand Avoidance is understood to be on the Autism spectrum and involves the avoidance of everyday demands and exploitation of social strategies as a part of this.

The person working with this child must understand that this is a partof the student's condition and work with the student to find positive and workable methods to navigate day to day life and it's demands.

About the school

The school is based in Barnet and is easily accessible by the Northern Line, Jubilee Line to Brent Cross or Cricklewood station Overground trains.

This is a Primary School that has an additional resource provision onsite for students with Autism. They area happy and thriving two-form entry school.
