Matching Staff Solutions are looking for a reliable and hard-working Distribution Planner on behalf of our highly reputable client based in
Bristol.


Purpose of the role is to plan and organize the efficient and effective delivery of haulage services to internal and external customers in Transport and Logistics industry.


Job Description:
-


  • Role involves planning of the delivery using Transport Management System and maintaining the data base in accordance to report to the stakeholders.
  • Keep a track of all the material have delivered with the Material Sourcing, Materials flow and Cost-Effective way using external hauliers.
  • Working along with the distribution planning team and when there is a short of staff to minimise the workload.
  • Make recommendations to internal and external customers on ways to improve haulage operations with high standard of customer service and management of compliance issues with vendors.
  • Maintaining positive relation with the clients and customers, resolving the queries, and getting feedbacks to improve the service level if necessary.
  • Liaise with Processing sites, Material Sourcing, Material Flow Team, and Logistics operations to ensure an in depth understanding of stock, waste flow/service delivery requirements (daily/weekly/monthly).
  • Need to keep a track on payloads of different types of material with effective resources.
  • Be a part on strategizing about company's growth and profit also preplanning of the smooth delivery on developing of the workload.
  • Role involves administrative task related to delivery details, completing the file and retain it accordingly.
  • To ensure that all haulage is obtained at the best possible price, make sure of best efficiency and cheapest price, liaise with other Distribution Planners to obtain best possible back load potential.
  • Dealing with telephone enquiries and assist with other distribution planner, cover absences.
  • Previous experience working in the transport / logistics sector essential.
  • People management skills/experience essential
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience working with a TMS.
  • Financial Awareness
  • CPC in road haulage will be advantageous.
  • Own transport required.
