About the role:

This role will have an operational focus supporting one of our networks. Reporting to a Network Finance Business Partner you'll hold a key role within our Network Finance Team.

As our Management Accountant specialist, you'll form close relationships with Operational and Commercial Managers within your specific area of responsibility.

Alongside this, you'll provide comprehensive financial support to managers to make good, well informed financial decisions.

You'll ensure that financial processes relevant to your area of responsibility are fit for purpose and operated in a consistent and controlled way It's a role which will give you variety, challenge and plenty of scope for learning.

What You'll Get To Work On:

Providing support and advice to Operational Managers by providing insight into financial performance
Proactively review financial information to identify opportunities for performance improvements and help drive operational efficiencies.
Manage the monthly reporting cycle for a defined business area.
Managing the collation, challenge and review of Budget, Forecast and Business Plan data with their area of responsibility
Work closely with peers to develop and improve processes within Finance.
Managing the completion of any control activities.

Who Are We Looking For:

Qualified accountant with a UK recognised body.
Financial & commercial acumen combined with relevant postqualification experience in financial management.
Written and verbal communication skills, presentation skills and the ability to influence and explain financial issues and results to business managers.
Ability to build relationships with stakeholders across the business through collaborative working
System and ME Excel skills with experience of SAP (or similar finance systems)
Demonstrable experience of process improvement
Ability to challenge the norm and is not afraid to propose brave options.
Experienced in decisionmaking
