The Growth company (GC) has an exciting new opportunity for a Business Advisor to generate and account manage a caseload of Greater Manchester (and North West) employers in order to promote and increase the take-up of GC services.


Key responsibilities:


  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets
  • Present, promote and sell appropriate products/services in line with the wider Growth Company strategy
  • Diagnose business needs to effectively positions GC services
  • Continually create and refresh an extensive caseload of businesses that enable individual, company, and contracts targets to be met in line with GC quality requirements
  • Develop and maintain excellent account management relationships with customers that result in the take up of services, repeat business, upselling and crossselling
  • Conduct professional face to face and telephone meetings at all levels with customers, delivering sales presentations and pitches
  • Attend networking events and learner recruitment events (which at times will involve working outside of standard business hours)
  • Project managing commercial training projects whilst contributing to the production of competitive tenders and to the achievement of crosssector and crosscompany targets

About you:


  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience of working in a target driven environment
  • Excellent selling and presentation skills
  • Proven business diagnostic skills & results Driven
  • Proven project management and organisation skills
  • IT skills, e.g. use of Microsoft Office suite (word, excel, power point and outlook)
  • Must have drivers license and access to a vehicle (Desirable)

Skills Required:


  • A minimum of two years sales and employer engagement experience
  • Producing business proposals following diagnosis of business need
  • Delivery or selling of skills training provision and/or recruitment services
  • Providing guidance, advice & counseling, specialist /pastoral support to employers or young people
  • Sound knowledge of the workbased learning route including Apprenticeship frameworks, NVQ's and their processes (Desirable)
  • Sounds knowledge of business support services across Greater Manchester
  • Sound knowledge of funding requirements such as ESFA, ESF and others (Desirable)
