Are you our next Kitchen Assistant? Here's more about the role:

First and foremost - we work together as a team to enrich our residents' lives - let's support our colleagues too and have fun in the process.

To ensure the kitchen maintains a high standard of cleanliness and adheres to food hygiene and Health and Safety procedures.


  • To carry out any duties as directed by the kitchen staff including the preparation of vegetables and light snacks ensuring excellent standards of hygiene
  • Follow a daily/weekly cleaning programme
  • Assist with receipt of deliveries, storage and stock rotation.
  • To ensure that all equipment is used correctly and COSHH data analysis sheets are followed.
What skills do I need?

  • Team work A happy team, makes for happy residents and a happy home
  • Basic Food Hygiene and basic food preparation certificates.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Friendly, professional, confident, honest and reliable
  • A good knowledge of health and safety procedures
  • Being able to communicate well is essential along with a flexible approach
  • You'll also be kind and have a real genuine like for older people and their needs, ensuring we treat everyone with the respect and dignity they deserve.
