The Cambridge Academy of Therapeutic Sciences (CATS) is a platform established to facilitate the development of new therapeutics and support the education and training of the next generation of world-leading researchers.

We are creating a structure that transcends traditional boundaries between disciplines and between academics and industrialists. CATS provides a unique outwardly-focused mechanism in which fundamental and applied research into therapeutics and diagnostics can flourish and be translated into patient treatments with maximum efficiency


CATS is seeking to appoint an experienced and motivated Administrator to join the team based at 17 Mill Lane, University of Cambridge.

The post-holder will support CATS team and will be responsible for a) administrative duties b) communication and c) events delivery.

The post-holder will have an overall responsibility for the operational management of CATS, including the administration of Wellcome Translation Partnership award grant.


Applicants will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy, and the ability to interact effectively with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders, including very senior professionals from both academic and industrial backgrounds.

The role requires a team-player with excellent organisational and administration skills, someone who is adaptable, problem solver and able to communicate in a clear, confident manner to a number of audiences.


The successful applicant will be part of a dynamic and interdisciplinary team and will interact with major stakeholders within the University of Cambridge and its industrial collaborators.

In particular she/he will be involved in the organization of high-profile international conferences, training courses, workshops and industry alliance symposias.


The funds for this post are available on a fixed-term basis until 30 April 2024 in the first instance, as determined by project funding.
