Junior Document Controller

Responsibilities:


  • Process a large number of documents daily, including uploading & downloading drawings / documents and printing distribution.
  • Manage Estimating document control procedures ensuring, correct revision control is maintained and communicated to the relevant parties.
  • Manage the Document Transmittal process with the Client.
  • Working on active projects ensuring that information is recorded and uploaded onto companies CDE and distributed to all relevant parties.
  • Maintain accurate document record logs of all drawings and documents issued by all parties at each stage of a project.
  • Work to continuously improve and enhance procedures and systems utilized for document control.
  • General administration of project documents.
  • Perform weekly checks to ensure all project documents are kept up to date.
  • Build, manage & maintain relationships with clients, contractors, other construction professionals, suppliers, and staff.
  • Attend meetings and ensure that document control protocols are being adhered to ensuring that accurate minutes are recorded and distributed to relevant people.
  • Report to the lead Document Controller on a daily basis.
  • To maintain high standards of work within your department.
  • General administrative work and any other duties necessary to support office staff including answering phones and covering reception when required.

Essential Criteria:


  • 5 GCSE's at Grade C or above or equivalent, these must include Mathematics and English Language
  • Good Microsoft Office skills to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Ability to take ownership of their duties and a willingness to grow and learn within their team and the company.
  • Demonstrate a good ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
  • Good telephone manner and professional approach to all daily tasks.
