Role:
Marketing and Communications Assistant

Salary:
£13,784 ( FTE £22,913 ) Part-Time 22.5 hours over 3 days, Monday, Friday and 1 other

Location:
Whiston, Rotherham

Duties and Responsibilities

Create and edit communications copy (e.g. press releases, publications, social media posts)
Help to maintain web content and implementation of social media strategies.
Track projects and media exposure as well as update databases and media lists.
Oversee internal communications and distribution channels.
Help in researching, writing and editing content for distribution including photos and videos.
Support the development of public relations and promotional materials including the creation and distribution.
Support with the coordination and delivery of local and national internal and external events including staff conference, community events, etc
Undertake general administrative duties such as answering telephone calls, preparing presentations, scheduling meetings, making travel arrangements
Collect data, prepare reports/presentations and evaluate the status of the organisation's public image and make recommendations for expanding or improving this.
To participate in local and national training and development opportunities and to take responsibility for personal learning and development
To undertake additional reasonable tasks as reasonably requested commensurate with the post.

Essential

Previous work experience as a communications or marketing assistant
Proven skills and experience in marketing communications, web content management, social media marketing and / or public relations
Outstanding communication (oral and written) skills.
Strong organisation skills and attention to detail.
Good customer service skills.
Driving licence and access to own vehicle.
