You will be a crucial member of our transport team, and your role is to ensure all LGV drivers are fully trained in line with company and legislative requirements.

You would coach drivers, and work to improve safety standards, fuel efficiencies and driving standards.


What you will be doing:
Your role will be broad with so much to do.

You could be posting job vacancies, reviewing applicant CVs, interviewing potential new drivers, collating onboarding paperwork, inducting and onboarding new recruits or driver apprentices, supporting with the training aspect of our driver apprentice programme, assessing and coaching drivers, assisting the transport asset manager in helping maintain compliance and excellent safety/driving standards to delivering classroom presentations on Highway Code, Drivers hours, Safe Loading, Health & Safety, and working time directive rules and regulations.

Your interpersonal skills will mean you will communicate effectively with drivers and managers and feedback relevant information.

You could also be required to drive vehicles as a backup driver when needed, allowing you to get out and see the customers.


About you:
You must hold a class 2 licence, a valid driver CPC and a six-month incident-free record.

You'll have the capability to use IT systems including Excel and PowerPoint, understand tachograph rules and working time directive, and the ability to carry out vehicle defect checks.

Package Description
45 hours per week + overtime (paid at an enhanced rate)

Monday-Friday, however; flexibility is required as some training might be required on weekends, mostly Saturdays
