Fleet Controller.


The aim of fleet services is to 'deliver a fit-for-purpose, available, and flexible fleet, while supporting our users and achieving overall value for money'.

The Met are currently exploring options to support the accelerationof decarbonisation to achieve Net Zero Carbon status by 2030.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • You will be working with a small dedicated team responsible for making best use of The Met's fleet of 5000 vehicles, 1000 pedal cycles and 25 marine vessels. MO11 Fleet Services provides professional fleet solutions in support of all operational policingrequirements across the Met in the most cost effective way and is responsible for the entire lifecycle management of Fleet assets.
  • You will play an essential role within the Customer Relationships team to deliver an excellent customer experience. This will involve undertaking effective customer engagement with our users across the Met, managing availability and utilisation of vehicles,and providing analytical support to drive improvement and performance. The role will meet operational demands to help ensure a safe, fitforpurpose and available fleet in the most efficient and costeffective way to keep London safe
  • Working collaboratively with both internal and external Stakeholders.
  • Supporting the Customer Relationships team in the provision of a safe, available and fit for purpose fleet.
  • Building strong working relationships at all levels,
  • Working with customers to identify and implement service improvements.

Essential

  • You will be the first point of contact for customer enquiries to ensure services meet or exceed expectations.
  • You will support the Customer Relations Team to develop innovative operational improvements and deliver against agreed Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, with the ability to present accurate information to both internal and external customers.
  • You will need an ability to develop strong working relationships, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • You will be someone who has the ability to interpret, analyse and manipulate data, with attention to detail
