My client a very successful Financial Planning business is actively looking to recruit a Paraplanner and they may allow one remote day in the Stevenage/Hitchin area.

If you are actively looking the role will be excellent and great the fact you will beoffice based with a lovely team of individuals.

Working as part of the adviser support team you will be instrumental in ensuring the efficiency of the client advice and service process.

Your aim will be to produce client facing reports that are clear, factual,accurate and tailored to each client within agreed timescales.

The reports will need to meet compliance standards, display a good use of the English language and be written with the client's needs and understanding at the fore.

You will work closely with ouradvisers and other members of the adviser support team throughout the advice process from case handover to research and final recommendation.

The paraplanner who is successful must have the following skills:


  • Adviser support:
  • Write suitability reports and review letters
  • Support advisers by acting as a point of contact for clients, undertake research into financial products, develop solutions for clients and draft recommendation reports and letters
  • Implement those recommendations and review the client portfolio
  • Assist advisers in preparing client recommendations including:
  • discussing and agreeing client objectives with adviser
- analysis and preparation of information for the adviser

  • Meet with adviser on a regular basis to gain greater understanding of client needs
  • Maintain compliant client files
  • Complete all document compliance within statutory timescales
  • Undertake servicing calls and answer client queries as required

Knowledge and experience:

  • A good understanding of the financial advisory process anda SKILLED PARAPLANNER
  • At least 18 months relevant experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of relevant regulation and legislation (desirable)
  • Experience of using back office and CRM systems
  • Familiar with basic financial planning tools and resources
  • Ideally studying for, or wishing to work towards, recognised industry qualifications.
  • Advisory or administrative background along with Financial Planning Paraplanning
  • Team responsibilities:
  • Provide ongoing support and assistance to other team members and clients as required
  • Escalate all technical queries to relevant adviser
  • Draft suitability letters for sign off by advisor/ compliance and ensure presubmission buddy checks for all cases are carried out
  • Understand the products offered by the business and the product sales process.
  • Ensure files are put away at the end of the day and a clear desk policy is adhered to
  • Recommend improvements in processes where necessary
  • Manage and coordinate team workload
