Our centralised government client is on the lookout for multiple DevOps Engineers to work within a small project-based development team.

The interview process for this role is a one or two stage interview done remotely via teams.

Within this role you willhave the opportunity to work within one or more hugely impactful projects which are all focused on the UKs safety.

Up to £700pd

Required experience

Practitioner in either infrastructure or development, with skills across wide ranging technologies such as Windows/Linux operating systems, networking, programming/scripting languages, CI/CD and cloud technologies.
Has a practitioner level understanding of automated testing tools and techniques.
Working level skills in using infrastructure as code techniques.
Working level skills in a codebased automation (e.g. PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, Puppet).
Awareness of containers and orchestration techniques.

Main day to day activities of the role

Build the processes, policy, practices, tools and technologies to improve operational efficiency of running a digital service or product.
Undertake necessary configuration to support the delivery of specific digital services.
Take an active role in development and operations events, such as daily scrums, sprint planning, refinement etc., have deep technical knowledge, providing support to delivery teams and solving complex problems
Ensure ongoing knowledge share and transfer of knowledge to the business and other technical staff
Ensure all required activities are carried out, auditable and documented in accordance with required standards, methods and procedures.
