Hours of work:
Monday to Friday 10:00 - 18:30**We have an amazing opportunity for a Transport Planner (Export) within a busy and expanding company in the Wednesbury area.
This is a split role with half of your time spent in the planning department assisting with the planning of multidrop/multi deliverybookings.
Transport and Logistics Planner Duties and responsibilities:
- Manifesting trailers
- trailers are planned day 1 for shipping on day
- Advising head office of deliveries
- Liaising with customs about manifests/sorting customs issues with customers this is time sensitive, and you need to adhere to strict deadlines whilst trying to maximise trailers
- Requesting GMRs and movement reference numbers from external customs agents
- Managing customs deadlines
- Groupage and pallet planning we are a multidrop/multi collection operation
- Assisting in planning the daily collections of our own fleet of vehicles as well as a selection of subcontractors
- Driver Debriefing
What you will bring to the role:
- Motivation and a willingness to learn and progress
- A knowledge of UK customs declarations
- Ability to adapt and manage day to day business needs
- A good understanding of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft packages
- Strong communication skills
- Attention to detail is a must
- Compliance knowledge
- Tachograph and driver hours knowledge
