HLTA | Primary School | Newcastle | January Start | SEN experience |MLD/SLD/ASD


HLTA required for a fantastic primary school in the West End of Newcastle to start in January for a long term contract through till July.

The role will include working with SEN and lower ability children in a small group delivering lessons and activities

  • Long Term HLTA role within a primary school in Newcastle
  • Great support from a team of experienced teaching assistants
  • Group work with children with additional needs
  • Work with a supportive SENCO within a friendly school


As an experienced HLTA you will need to be capable of taking charge of a small group of children and instruction the other teaching assistants.

The ideal HLTA will be a confident teaching assistant with strong presence in the classroom and good behaviour management. You will also be required to work with your own initiative especially in the absence of the class teacher.
