Marketing Manchester has a new and exciting vacancy for a Marketing Assistant who will assist the Marketing team with the development, delivery and evaluation of marketing plans that promote Manchester as a key destination for business and leisure tourism.


Marketing Manchester promotes Greater Manchester nationally and internationally as a place to visit, invest, meet and study. Our work is an essential component to successfully raise the profile of the city-region as the gateway to the North and improve global perceptions and city ranking. Marketing Manchester also supports MIDAS, Greater Manchester's inward investment agency, in the delivery of promotion focusing on priority sectors and campaigns including digital, innovation and green.


Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring all published marketing material is up to date, including; compiling and publishing partner offers on national/regional websites
  • To provide support across the Marketing team in the delivery of familiarisation visits including attending where appropriate, follow up evaluation and monitoring of inkind support
  • Collation of key statistic (web stats, partner engagement, campaign reach etc) that input into evaluation plans.
  • Assist with the planning and coordinating the distribution of promotional material, taking the lead with basic print project where appropriate
  • Liaison with partners and appropriate Marketing Manchester departments, to facilitate sharing of information to support delivery objectives
  • Preevent preparation, supporting the delivery of events including post event breakdown

About you

  • Experience of working in an office or customer facing environment would be an advantage
  • Hold a professional qualification in Marketing/Communications / Events Management or Tourism
  • An enthusiastic individual with a passion to develop a career in marketing, must be highly motivated and results orientated

Job Types:

Salary:
Up to £21,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

  • Manchester: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
