Procurement Manager - Corporate Category

Location:
Chelmsford (Hybrid working available, 1-2 days in the office a week)

Salary:
Up to £50,945 p/Year (Local Government pension scheme included)

Hours:
Full time (part time will be considered)

Our client:

Our Local Authority client are looking for a Procurement Manager to join their busy team, the procurement team are award winning and support the organisation to deliver services to 1.4 million residents.

They are the largest Local Authority Procurement Teamin the UK and have a national reputation for excellence.

Main purpose of the role:

This role within the corporate team will have responsibility for managing transformational projects to support the corporate service and technology categories.

You will hold key stakeholder relationships and be accountable for developing category strategiesas well as projects that support the council to embrace new ways of working.

You will be involved in creative schemes to support Essex residents in support of the authorities strategic aims.

The roles call for extensive experience in the procurement lifecycle but if you are currently focussed on complex sourcing, category strategy or strategic contract management we can cross train the other parts of the role where you may have less experience.
