About the role:

Anchor Customer Centre provides sector leading customer service and provides opportunities and choice in where and how people live. Our Customer Services team is split into different areas all of which are as equally important as each other. Working within the Payment Advice team, you will be responsible for dealing with all resident arrears and credit balances. This includes current and former residents across all tenure types.

Our aim is to reduce our total arrears whilst establishing behavioural trends in an attempt to prevent financial hardship and support residents with debt.


Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Effective arrears management using our internal policy and procedures
  • Inbound and outbound call handling (establishing consistent payment methods, agree payment arrangements to suit business and resident, take payments)
  • Assisting operational colleagues (agreeing next steps, utilising available technology to support residents face to face)
  • Account and report analysis to maintain best practise

About You
Experience in arrears management or debt recovery is preferred but not essential as you will receive comprehensive training


You will have:

  • Effective and accurate communication skills both written and verbal
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Flexibility, resilience and be able to adapt within an everchanging environment
  • Ability to build strong and effective relationships with stakeholders
  • Genuine enthusiasm for providing a high standard of customer service
  • Competent in multitasking, prioritising and forward planning with the ability to manage competing demands
