Job Purpose
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and forward-thinking Colleague Experience and Inclusion Manager to join our team.

This is a newly created role which will help drive forward our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) ambitions and embed ournew business blueprint through the colleague proposition and experience.

You'll work closely with others to orchestrate how we build the culture of the future, embedding the right behaviours and ways of working into the organisation DNA.

Working with senior leaders and peers to ensure Canada Life has a compelling colleague and leadershipexperience at all stages of the lifecycle and ensures that we are a company that people want to work at.

DEI is a strategic priority for Canada Life, we've made great progress but there is more to do.

With your passion and deep knowledge of DEI you'll be responsible for evolving and delivering the strategy, and consulting with others so it's embedded into allwe do.

You will be successful by using their influence, expertise and consulting experience in culture change and DEI as you influence senior leaders, oversee community and consultation forums, and partner with other expert functions to deliver the results which willdrive change in Canada Life.

This role will require you to be in one of our offices a few days eachweek.
Key Accountabilities

  • Provide expert consultancy, coach, influence and collaborate with key leadership, People Team and Executive stakeholders to create an excellent colleague experience and proposition at all stages of the lifecycle
  • Lead, evolve and implement the DEI strategy to build inclusive practices across the organisation and colleague lifecycle creating a culture of inclusion and belonging
  • Create strategies, solutions and opportunities to bring the blueprint to life for colleagues, through orchestrating, collaborating and cocreating opportunities to embed our behaviours into the colleague lifecycle and experience
  • Lead and oversee the colleague community groups including the Colleague Consultation Forum, Ethnicity Network, Proud, Gender Balance and support the creation of new networks
  • Work collaboratively and influence with Global and European teams
  • Research and identify external trends, best practices that will increase diversity, inclusion, colleague experience and change culture within Canada Life
  • Working with People Services teams, create the relevant MI and insight to demonstrate progress, hotspots and successes to meet our regulatory, global and UK DEI requirements
  • Partner with the Learning and Leadership team to design solutions to raise capability on DEI, Blueprint and culture.
Desired Knowledge / Experience / Skills

  • Specialist knowledge and experience in designing and deploying culture and DEI activities
  • Experience in consulting with a focus on strong delivery and project management
  • Collaboration and cocreating skills
  • Strategic thinking: able to innovate, create, design and build solutions
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to make decisions independently
  • Influencing and communication skills both internally and with external suppliers
  • Experience coaching, mentoring and developing others
  • Resilient, deals with ambiguity and able to operate under pressure and change
  • Ability to work with a virtual team, with colleagues and stakeholders spread across multiple locations
