Visibly Impaired Assistance, Dementia Care & Catheter Care

We a looking for an experienced carer to support a gentleman with -20% sight, catheter and early onset dementia. He has a passion for the horse industry and likes to get out and about doing activities.


It takes a special kind of person to be a carer and a good private carer is someone who truly cares about others and is not just earning a living.

This is a special job, and it needs special people to do it. Finding out what a typical carer role is like can't easily be written down, there is no 'average' day.

Responsibilities:


  • Companionship sharing conversation and spending time together
  • Attending events & travelling outside of the UK on holidays and business trips
  • Personal care assisting with bathing, dressing, and when necessary, continence support
  • Helping with mobility
  • Overseeing medication
  • Preparing and cooking meals
  • Running errands assisting with tasks such as shopping or picking up prescriptions
  • Catheter care
  • Work as a team with another live in carer and a cleaner

Specifications:


  • Experience in Visibly Impaired Assistance
  • Experience in Dementia Care
  • Experience in Catheter Care
  • Predominantly Day Shifts (with 12 Hours Evening Work)
  • Full Clean Driving License
  • Valid passport and able to travel outside of the UK (USA inclusive)

This is a live-in role with a private apartment provided.


Salary:
£35,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
