We are working with a Primary School in Blackpool. They require a HLTA to support the Primary School with Reading Tutoring and Vision Screening.Training will be provided for TWL, Vision screening, Safeguarding and H&S
Essential criteria:
- Experience of working with primary school children in a school environment
- Enjoy working with primary school children with a positive focus to help children above everything else
- Knowledge of Blackpool as will be working in heart of Blackpool with children from mixed backgrounds and vital to understand this context
- Initiative and confidence
- Ability to work independently and part of a team
- Excellent communication skills speaking and listening with adults and children
- Excellent attitude to learn new skills
- Ability to make strong relationships with children and adults
- DBS checked
Desirable criteria:
- Experience of using _Tutoring with Lightning Squad_
- Teaching reading and/or phonics experience
- Safeguarding experience (school training will also be given)
- IT skills as will be working with TWL and learning to use a vision screening software online tool
- Motivation to go above and beyond to help children progress with literacy skills
