An opportunity has arisen for 2 experienced administrators to join the Admin Team based at St Catherine's Hospital.

  • 1 full time temporary contract to cover up 19thFebruary hours a week) Monday to Friday 9 1 part time permanent (24.6 hours a week) Monday to Friday hours negotiable


The role involves working in a small admin team who support the operational teams within Adult Social Care, including Social Workers, Care Navigators, Reablement Officers, Occupational Therapists and Visual Impairment Officers.


It is therefore essential you have a good administrative background, clear communicator, adaptable and flexible to meet the needs of the service.


The team answer telephone calls for open cases, provide support and gathering information from systems, minute taking and general office duties.


IMPORTANT NOTE:


This role will be Transferring to Wirral Council during early/mid 2023 as part of the whole Adult Social Care service.

At the point of Transfer the role will TUPE to Wirral Council who will become your new employer.


Adult Social Care provides social care to support vulnerable people living within the community to ensure they stay healthy and independent for as long as possible by accessing a range of services to enable them to do this with their own choice and control.

Adult Social Care undertake out assessments as guided by The Care Act and Mental Capacity Act and lead within safeguarding section 47 investigations.

The Admin Team provides an effective administrative support to Adult Social Care to carry out their function.

The main tasks include:


  • To act as main point of contact on the telephone and to deal effectively with a wide range of enquiries from other professionals, clients and families, some who may have complex or sensitive needs and may be anxious or irate.
  • To be able to search for information on electronic client database and record accurate information on system, provide reports, clear and effective message taking.
  • To be able to take minutes in a variety of meetings, including safeguarding and ensuring minutes are finalised and distributed in a timely manner.
  • To provide general office duties, including sending letters/information out, scanning documents into client database.
  • To plan and priorities own workload effectively and efficiently using time management skills to meet deadlines.
  • To be flexible and able to work as part of a team
