Ascendant Lifts & Escalators are a fast growing, lift maintenance and repair company based in Gateshead supported by a regional office in Stockport.

Due to our continued growth across our company we now require an experienced Credit Controller to join our busy accounts office.

The successful applicant will have full responsibility across both companies for the following but is not limited to:

Delivering efficient credit control with excellent communication skills and building strong customer relationships.
Regular (daily) contact with debtors
Carrying out credit checks ensuring credit limits are authorised and monitored
Post cash allocations to ledgers (Sage 50 accounts)
Reporting direct to Directors with identified issues and steps to resolve.
Pursue debt collection via legal action where required.
Producing weekly debtors lists for management.
Updating ledgers with communication/memos
Liaising with Company Accountant as and when necessary
At least 2 years experience of delivering results in a credit control role.
Excellent IT skills
Good telephone manner
Knowledge of Sage Line 50 accounts (or similar) would be an advantage.
Good numeracy skills
Ability to keep calm under pressure.

Team player with positive outlook and be able to work independently.
