We are working with a dynamic and inclusive
SEN School, committed to providing exceptional education and support to students with a range of diverse SEN needs.


We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic
Learning Support Assistant to join our passionate team in making a positive impact on the lives of our students.


As a
Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational and personal development of students with special educational needs.

Working closely with our experienced teaching staff, you will provide one-on-one and small group support to students, helping them overcome barriers to learning and promoting their independence.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide targeted support to students with SEN, such as Autism, ADHD, SEMH and complex and challenging behaviours, adapting teaching materials and strategies to meet individual needs.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management plans.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting social and emotional development.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to create a holistic approach to student development.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing regular feedback to teaching staff and parents.

Qualifications and Experience:


  • Previous experience working in a similar role such as within a SEN setting.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or special needs support (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning).
  • Understanding of different learning needs, including autism, ADHD, and other developmental disorders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children and young people with SEN.
  • DBS registered to the update service.

Full-time, Permanent, Temp to perm


Salary:
£13.02-£14.02 per hour

Experience:


  • Special education: 1 year (preferred)
