Description:
Prince Personnel are working with a well-established, manufacturing business who are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Team Leader to work alongside the Customer Service Manager and will oversee a small team within the CAD department.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has some existing experience in CAD systems and who would like to join a well-established and stable business.
The CAD Team Leader will be responsible for:
- Producing 2D and 3D drawings to fit customer request.
- Create room layout designs using CAD.
- Design and quote for standard house build room sets, within agreed timeframes.
- Responsible for ensuring a build status of all critical drawings is maintained.
- Attend prestart contract meetings when required.
- Design and quote for bespoke room sets via Business Development Managers (BDM's)
- Responsible for ensuring a build status of all critical drawings is maintained.
- Attend prestart contract meetings when required.
- Contract customer delivery schedules, via plot, added to call off system, action the call off as per customer requests, liaise with site managers regarding delivery dates etc.
- Administer all project schedules, communicate project status to relevant personnel.
- Support managers and team members when dealing with customer service issues.
- Supervise and mentor a small team, ensuring all department KPI's are achieved creating a positive environment for staff and visitors.
- Ensure the team follows all policies and processes.
- Look for improvement areas as part of the continuous improvement process.
- Ensure effective communication and support to all levels of the business.
- Ensure the timely and successful delivery of utopia solutions according to customers' expectations and objectives.
- Ensure the department answers all incoming calls effectively and deal with inquiries promptly.
- Deliver 121 team meetings and reviews periodically.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience using CAD software both 2D and 3D will be essential.
- Strong attention to detail, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Good time management and organisation skills.
- Ability to problem solve.
- This role would suit someone who has previously works as a CAD Operator / CAD Technician.
- Able to build and maintain strong, longlasting relationships, at all levels with both internal and external personnel.
