Techniche Global are supporting a large marine manufacturer based in Oundle, to appoint a Joinery Designer. You will produce detailed assembly and production drawings that optimise the capabilities of the production facility.

Previous marine experience is not essential for this role, they can consider any sector background with engineering experience in the disciplines they are seeking engineers in (Mechanical, Electrical, Joinery etc).


Salary:
£34,000 - £38,000


Location:
Oundle, Peterborough


Key tasks:

  • Working with a team of designers / naval architects to help optimize the overall design for build efficiency.
  • Be able to produce joinery drawings to required production/CNC level, from detailed assemblies, installation drawings, and through to component parts.
  • Have a clear understanding of materials and design standards.
  • The ability to work on multiple projects.
  • Communicate directly with the design team to ensure the intent is suitable for manufacture.
  • Liaise with the Production team and other departments within the business.
  • Ensure that the product complies with all relevant Codes and Classifications.
  • To be able to think logically and provide solutions to problems when required.

Key requirements:

  • Degree level qualification.
  • Prior joinery/cabinet experience.
  • Able to work with 3D CAD software Siemens NX or equivalent software.
  • Excellent communication skills.
