My client an established nationally recognised wealth management organisation has an opportunity covering the Aberdeen area, for an Independent Financial Adviser, with an existing client portfolio of High-Net-Worth Clients.

Basic Salary £70,000

Death in Service (DIS) 4 x Salary

Private Medical Cover (PMI) MHD - including optical and dental

Group Income Protection (GIP/PHI) 75% of salary / 26-week deferred period

Critical Illness Cover (CIC) £10k Benefit

Pension 5% Employee / 7% employer

Holiday Entitlement 26/3 years, 27/4 years, 28/5 years

Holiday - Carry Forward 5 days max - use by 31/03

Professional Quals and Study Paid in full

Working Hours Standard is 9-5, Monday to Friday

My client focus' on the importance of financial planning, not just financial advice.

Ensuring their customers are confident in the advice they provide is essential and they never take for granted the privileged position this puts them in.

As a Financial Adviser my client is looking for an individual who is

  • Conducting factfind meetings with an existing client bank and the opportunity to develop this. Currently all client meetings take place using Zoom, there is a view to go back out to seeing clients when it feels safe to do so
  • Preparing sound financial plans to ensure clients meet their financial goals
  • Advising clients on current financial issues and make recommendations
  • Customise financial plans according to clients' changing needs
  • Building strong relationships to retain existing clients
  • Supportive and highly motivated
  • Be able to work in a fastmoving environment with a successful sale team
  • Possess a professional "can do" attitude with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good knowledge of FS business practices and generic knowledge in Life, Pensions, investment products and inheritance tax planning
  • Thirst for knowledge and a desire to excel in everything they do.
  • Level 4 Diploma for Financial Advisers (DipFA) qualified (ideally Level 6 Diploma in Financial Advice (Adv DipFA) Chartered or working towards level 6)
  • Hold or recently held Competent Adviser Status
- (CAS) and Statement of Professional Standing (SPS)

  • Experienced in providing holistic financial advice, with a proven track record of success
  • A full driving licence
  • The capacity to work from home or office are essential for this role, as you'll be required to travel to visit clients
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to explain complex financial arrangements
  • Demonstrable financial planning experience gained with a recognised organisation
  • Demonstrate a history of delivering challenging sales targets within a regulated environment
  • Ensure that all CPD logs and training is up to date
  • Up to date knowledge of industry and legislative changes.
