The role

The difference our new Aircraft Inspector make
As a Aircraft Inspector you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary.

You will be supporting the team to ensure we are always meeting and exceeding customer expectations and LAFT2 contractual needs.


Day to day, you'll assist in the ground movement of aircraft, supervise and carry out Flight-line operations i.e., Preparation of aircraft for daily flying, "see-in" and "see-off", fuel and oil replenishment.

Daily Check A maintenance, undertake and supervise scheduled and corrective maintenance of the LAFT Aircraft fleet, Pre-use checks and Scheduled Maintenance of Company owned Ground Support Equipment, complete "all" documentation in accordance with current legislation and Company procedures, use RAL computer system to support maintenance and rectification tasking/documentation, general duties as required, including, driving, stores duties, housekeeping etc.

, and other responsibilities as allocated by Management, provide Technical Support to other LAFT sites as required, complete all aircraft and equipment maintenance documentation in accordance with current legislation and Company procedures, supervise and carry out Flight-line operations in accordance with company procedures and provide technical support to other LAFT sites as required, as well as being available for longer term detachments if required in support of Camps at Easter and Summer

This role is onsite at Middle Wallop however the company may, on occasion, ask you to deploy temporarily to other sites or support detachments at other operating locations.


Essential experience

  • Supervisory experience in an aircraft engineering environment.
  • Recognised aircraft apprenticeship, military experience or NVQ level 3 or equivalent
  • Ability to demonstrate practical and theoretical standards required
  • Driving Licence
  • Aircraft engineering experience
  • Obtain or have the ability to obtain a Baseline Security Check

Desirable:


  • Experience of working within a military environment
  • Experience of handling aircraft in military or civilian EASA Pt 145 environments.
  • Grob 115 E handling course.
  • Familiar with military documentation.
  • IT Skills.
  • Grob 115E training will be provided it not.
  • Defence industry experience.
  • Licenced B1.2 aircraft engineer.
