Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) Controller

Full Time, Permanent

Monday to Friday, 0900 to 1700

We are now seeking a full time Electronic Flight Bag Controller (EFBC) to join our experienced and friendly operations team based in Doncaster.


Reporting to the Operations Manager (OM), the Electronic Flight Bag Controller (EFBC) is tasked with supporting the centralised Operations team with the processes associated with running a complex and diverse flying programme.


This role will be the primary point of contact for all Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) related queries and will be responsible for the day-to-day management and oversight of all company EFBs, ensuring that as an organisation, we remain fully compliant with our regulatory approvals.

The role utilises strong working relationships with aircrew, operations staff, the accounting department, and departmental managers.


There will also be a requirement to visit our operational bases to conduct spot checks of EFBs and supporting infrastructure, conducting documentation updates, and assisting with the dispatch and preparation of company aircraft.


The Key Responsibilities will include:


  • Monitor, maintain and be responsible for all company Electronic Flight Bags (EFBs), associated hardware and software.
  • Write and maintain SOPs relating to EFB management and day to day usage for company aircrew.
  • Ensure that any new aircrew to the organisation are issued with the correct EFBs in a timely manner and are set up accordingly for their specific type of operation.
  • Ensuring that all aircrew are operating with indate apps, flight planning licenses and other software.

The following skills, knowledge and experience are essential:

  • Previous experience of Electronic Flight Bags (EFBs) and associated software is essential.
  • At least one years' experience in a flight operations environment is desirable.
  • Knowledge of civilian aircrew/commercial aviation rules and regulations.
  • Experience of ForeFlight, SimpleMDM and Apple Business Manager would be a distinct advantage.
