Company Description

NEC Software Solutions is headquartered in the UK and operates around the world.

We employ more than 3,000 people in six countries, building software and services to get our customers better outcomes.

We traded as Northgate Public Services until 1 July 2021 when we rebranded to align with our owners, NEC.

Most of our subsidiary companies did too (APD Communications, i2N, EMIS Care and Charter Systems) but our service design agency still trades as Snook.

We've been part of global tech company NEC Corporation since January 2018.

Job Description:

An opportunity has arisen to join the Arden, Hereford, and Worcester eye screening programme. We are looking for someone to join the screening team covering clinics throughout our Worcestershire locations
Our screeners are the heart of NEC Care spending time on the ground, helping our patients. As a screener, you'll run local clinics for our patients and photograph their eyes to assess for diabetic retinopathy. We'll need you to be empathetic and able to talk to patients daily. You'll be supported undertaking your training, but once completed will be working largely unsupervised in a pressured environment, so a cool head is essential

This role is based in the Worcestershire area, covering clinics throughout the county. There may be the need for you to travel further afield, so a full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications:

This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to join the healthcare sector, with little to no experience, has a great sense of customer service and great interpersonal skills.

Who you'll be?

We want to make sure you are set for success; This isn't all about your skills and that is why we would love to talk to you even if perhaps you don't fit all the below.

  • Customer focused with brilliant interpersonal skills
- willingness to learn - as we'll put you through the necessary qualification
- organised and able to prioritise tasks
- good problem-solving skills
- able to work under pressure
- any previous experience working with the public is ideal
- a full driving licence and preferably your own transport (clinic times can vary and early morning collection of equipment is occasionally involved in the role, which cannot always be facilitated with local public transport)
