GTS is looking for a holiday cover Security Guard to man two of North Lanarkshire Depo's. This position would work with someone who is semi-retired or looking for part-time work.

Must hold a vailed SIA badge.

Position Overview:

The Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment.

They are attentive to the needs of all individuals and are attentive to the safety of the property and its occupants.

They are knowledgeable of the building's interior and exterior and can perform a variety of duties related to building security, emergency procedures, and general care of the property.


Essential Duties:


  • Protects property against theft, vandalism, or interference by assisting in maintaining security procedures and equipment, reporting any changes in needs or problems to appropriate personnel, and acting as a deterrent to criminal activity or unauthorized entry.
  • Monitors presence.
  • Monitors signs.
  • Keeps area clear of distraction.
  • Monitors alarm system.
  • Assists in unloading trucks.
  • Assists in loading trucks.
  • Assists in loading trucks with equipment or supplies as needed.
  • Assists in loading trucks with equipment or supplies as needed.
  • Follows instructions from the supervisor.
  • Follows safety rules and regulations.
  • Cleans and maintains assigned area(s).
  • Follows company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties assigned by supervisor.

Skills:


  • Familiarity with criminal background check process preferred. This includes handling of confidential information, driving license check, fingerprinting, basic math skills, etc.
  • Excellent customer service skills required with attention to detail and safety standards.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills required with supervisors as well as fellow employees. This includes speaking with supervisors, fellow employees, etc.

Job Type:
Temporary contract

Contract length: 12 months


Salary:
£10.90 per hour
