Are you an experienced Business Development Manager, with a successful track record within Logistics and Supply Chain Solutions ? Would you like to work for an successful business, with a history over 100 years and a global footprint ?

Position Overview


An opportunity has arisen for an experienced BDM, with the drive and determination to deliver the results required to ensure the continued growth, specifically the development of our Industrial Logistics & Supply Chain Services.

The business has big ambitions for growth in this field within the UK market.

The successful person will be reporting directly to our Business Development Director based in Europe, and need to build a very close relationship with our management team in theUK.


Responsibilities of Business Development Manager

  • You will build positive and professional relationships with major customers within industry in the UK, to ensure that we delight and provide a positive Customer Experience.
  • Your mission will be to collect and understand customer needs and expectations, and deliver solutions and areas of improvement into real actionable plans.
  • You will support growth through a collaborative team approach, involving international discussions with staff in Europe, ensuring that new businesses are gained at the highest possible margins and revenues.
  • You will provide regular and accurate sales forecast for the assigned and/or targeted accounts, using our CRM SalesForce. Formulate, develop, achieve the annual sales budget and report variances to plan.
  • Your expertise and knowledge of industrial clients & prospects in the UK will enable you to define a development strategy and support the management of key accounts for the region.

Requirements of Business Development Manager

  • Substantial experience within logistics and/or industrial logistics business development, you will have a good understanding of the automotive, rail and/or aerospace industries.
  • Demonstrable and successful experience in a sales function involving successful negotiations
  • Exemplary communication and management skills in order to deal with complex technical and commercial issues at customers and all internal departments.
  • Ability to travel across the UK and possibly overseas, Full clean driving licence and passport.
  • Strong team player
