Job overview


The dietitian appointed would be based in the Children's Hospital Dietetic Department for two days per week, with the remainder based in the Community Outreach Team based at Nottingham City Hospital Campus, which will include some days working from home.

The post holder will be supported in their development with programs such as the AHP Leadership Program, Masters modules and Fellowship Program.

We are also actively involved in commercial research and development.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will manage a varied HEF paediatric caseload (0-19yrs) of complex patients and will visit community settings including inpatient, patient's homes, schools, and respite centers.

This could include children requiring enteral feeding to build up for cardiac surgery, faltering growth and ARFID. They will work closely with Children's Community Nursing Teams to support children with complex needs at home. You will be attending MDT, DPM and Team Around a Child Meetings.

You will be supporting band 5 & 6 dietitians within the inpatient and HEF department and alongside other clinical leads in both departments.


You'll need to have excellent communication and leadership skills, a flexible approach and the ability to manage your own time and workload and that of other members of staff within the supportive team.

The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
