LT6- Assistant Reliability Engineer

Location:
Wirral, Liverpool


Salary:
Circa £30,000 per annum


Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking an Assistant Reliability Engineer on behalf of one of our clients.

Due to further growth within the company, this exciting opportunity has arisen to assist in reliability management, condition monitoring and asset management.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • To understand how engineering systems fail and to characterise those failures numerically using deterministic and probabilistic mathematical methods.
  • Development of condition monitoring and conditionbased maintenance programmes
  • To influence design through understanding how failures will affect system operation, and to analyse the resulting design, providing feedback on any impact this will have to the safety or reliability of the system.
  • To advise the Chief Engineer on the risks that will affect the safety or reliability of his fleet. Work with the engineering teams to formally manage and mitigate these risks and ensure product safety is maintained.
  • Collection and analysis of routine condition monitoring data
  • Troubleshooting of different machinery
  • Review, specification and general minor maintenance of Condition Monitoring instruments and equipment
  • Proofreading and technical crosschecking of reports
  • Provision of technical support in support of our clients' sales and market development
  • Development of company IT systems and processes

Skills and Qualifications:


  • Experience within an engineering position, preferably both mechanical and electrical.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, a natural collaborator.
  • Detail orientated with robust timemanagement skills.
  • Critical thinking and problemsolving abilities.
  • High proficiency in full Microsoft Office suite skills, especially Excel.
  • You must have the right to work in the UK and a full UK driving licence.
  • This position WILL require national and international travel.
