Wider Safeguarding Locum Social Worker - Our client, a Local Authority in the South East are looking for an experienced Locum Social Worker to join their Wider safeguarding team in Mendip.

The key purpose of this role is to work alongside families to supportand develop motivational for changes and to improve the outcomes for our most vulnerable young people and families.


The role within Wider safeguarding team:

  • Work with children and families who are experiencing challenges around physical harm, complex neglect, sexual harm, parental learning difficulties and child exploitation.

Their manageable caseloads let you be innovative and creative social worker you want to be - undertaking direct work with children and young people to hear their voice and understanding their experiences.

Your role will be working with parents and the widerfamily network with family group conferencing to support them to identify strengths, tackling problems and to help change interactions and behaviours.

With experience team managers you'll be well supported with regular and reflective group and personal supervision.


We they looking for:

  • You will be passionate about relationshipbased building relationships to make difference to children and families.
  • You will need to be a qualified social worker registered with SWN (social work England) and have substantial experience working with children and families in social work.
  • You will be competent IT user and able to LiquidLogic.
  • Hold a full driving license and have access to your own vehicle as travel is required.
