Job objectives and responsibilities

  • This role is a delivery position within Mitie Procurement and will report into a Procurement Manager. The role works as part of Procurement Operations to support value delivery across Mitie
  • Deliver Mitie's identified procurement strategies, to achieve Exceptional Value, Every Day. This means ensuring supply chain solutions are fit for purpose, aligned to business need and represent lowest total cost, best service, highest quality, ethical & sustainable supply with relevant impactful supply base innovation.

Develop skills and experience so you are able to:

  • Run and support sourcing processes, ensure data integrity, undertake Supplier Relationship Management analysis, including measuring Supplier Performance, support bid responses and contract mobilisations
  • Implement agreed procurement plans to deliver identified business benefits
  • Follow defined processes and ways of working across our Plan, Buy, Measure Process & our Suppliers, using our increasing suite of technology tools.
  • Support price benchmarking and reviews, market intelligence and supplier audits for Mitie procurement.

Outcomes:


  • Delivering best value for money for every pound that Mitie spends, to achieve savings targets
  • Following Mitie's procurement policies, procedures and approach, using agreed technology and processes, highlighting improvement areas and potential fixes through the Solutions Forum
  • An outstanding service provided to all Procurement, Business Units and group stakeholders
  • Demonstrable ability to do the procurement fundamentals exceptionally. Learn the skills, develop the competencies and build knowledge to act as a foundation for future development within procurement, whilst making a real impact and contribution to Mitie's performance.

Tasks:

Engage with colleagues & suppliers to deliver procurement value


Specific tasks include:


  • Use documented procurement processes, templates, ways of working and technology to ensure value delivery for Mitie is maximised
  • Implement identified initiatives improving Mitie's ethical and sustainable sourcing credentials
  • Use existing technology solutions to control and manage our total spend, prepare & execute RFx/eRFx/eAuctions and centrally capture all contracts. You will also help identify and control noncompliant spend (leakage)
  • Provide the data and insight to allow the creation of market intelligence for the Mitie procurement team members
  • Support the running of sourcing activities, from project launch to implementation
  • Ensure all contract and supplier databases are up to date and all sources of data are accurate, reliable and maintained
  • Deal with sourcing enquiries from across Mitie and our supplier base
  • Support supplier audits, price reviews & benchmarking
  • Write procurement communications and newsletters, maintain our Intranet / Internet sites
  • Manage all data requirements for Mitie's Supplier Relationship Management program and measurement of Supplier Performance against contractual key performance measures
  • Continually seek personal skills development opportunities to support career progression within Mitie procurement

Person Specification

Essential:


  • Educated to "A" level or equivalent professional experience / qualifications
  • Able to demonstrate an ability to deliver against targets and work effectively as part of a team
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to demonstrate the ability to influence others and follow structured ways of working to achieve
