Coatbridge on a full-time, part-time and relief basis.

The Role
The great thing about this job is no two days are ever the same.

You'll become part of one of our dedicated housing support teams who supports individuals with disabilities and additional support needs to live in their own or shared homes.

As a Support Practitioner, youll assist the individuals with all aspects of daily living including cooking, housework, shopping, medication and finances.

Youll also support with their hobbies and interests too, some of these include music, arts & crafts, going for walks and exploring new places.

Your support will play a huge part in helping them to reach their goals and play an active part in their local community.

Some of people we support enjoy going swimming often so being a confident swimmer due to this is helpful.

A full, clean drivers licence would be a benefit as some of the people we support have their own mobility car and enjoy going out for drives but this isn't essential

About you

For these opportunities, we're ideally looking for people who have experience in caring or supportive role and have confidence to manage behaviours that can challenge.

However, you will undergo comprehensive training for the specific team you'd be working in.

We will also need you to hold a full, clean driving licence with a minimum of a year on the road, as the people we support have their own mobility cars.

If you don't already have your qualification in Health & Social Care, we'll fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and we'll also pay your yearly SSSC registration fees too

**What we need you to be: - **- Positive, caring and compassionate

  • Honest, reliable and trustworthy
  • Good at communicating and listening
  • A good team player, but also confident to work on your own initiative
  • Confident in the use of computers

Shift Patterns

As we're dedicated to providing support tailored to the needs of each individual, shift patterns in these particular services will usually involve working , and hours and will involve working weekends and public holidays on a rotational basis, so we will need you to be flexible.

If youre successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.
