Description

We are looking for a talented
Human Resources Advisor to join our fantastic People Team in delivering a full Employee Relations remit in a timely, practical, professional manner, championing best practice in all areas of people processesand supporting our amazing charity, Age UK.

You will have proven established skills and experience in the provision of all employee relation services.

You will be looking for a new role within a fast-paced, multi-site environment that will support the development of your existing knowledge and skills.


You will provide professional, proactive, expert advice and guidance to managers on complex people matters across a broad range of employee relation cases, with an emphasis on taking shared responsibility and ownership for decision making involving peopleissues, challenging any decisions and actions which are not ethical.


Working closely with our Senior HR Advisors and HR Business Partners, you will provide responsive, high quality specialist advice to line managers and employees on a broad range of HR areas but in particular on employee relations.

Specifically in relationto the management of serious conduct matters, sickness absence management, performance management, employee health and wellbeing, grievance resolutions, probation reviews in accordance with our values.


You can expect to work closely with our wider People team on all areas including, recruitment, training, volunteering, HR administration, well-being, EDI, and safeguarding.

You will have:


  • Demonstrable track record of advising on a range of complex ER issues.
  • Demonstrable, comprehensive up to date working knowledge of employment law and legislation, with a strong understanding of HR policy and procedures.
  • Effective stakeholder management with excellent verbal and written skills which can be tailored to be reflective of audience.
  • Confident in communication with people at all levels, with a style that is clear, engaging, coaching, collaborative whilst at times of challenge can hold your own.
  • A confident manner in dealing with a diverse range of people, using good interpersonal and credible influencing skills.
  • Ability to analyse complex issues and provide practical and creative solutions.
  • Ability to work remotely, autonomously and use your own initiative
  • Ability to quickly forge relationships, win trust and build confidence.
  • Ability to work flexibly in an agile way in order to meet deadlines, respond positively and constructively to feedback.
  • Experience of working with field based or remotely based internal customers.
