Compliance Assistant - Kent


Our client is one of the fastest growing P2P lenders in the Property Finance market, specialising with Bridging and Development Finance loans.

Due to continued growth, they are in search for a Compliance Assistant to join their thriving team.

A key component of being a Compliance Assistant is to help maintain total accuracy and adherence to the FCA guidelines.

You'll be working seamlessly withall teams across the business to achieve continual best practice and support with general compliance.


You will be responsible for:

  • Providing compliance support to the business by responding to queries
  • Working with other members of the team to ensure all file checking required is undertaken
  • Ensuring compliance registers are kept up to date
  • Assisting with a variety of compliance admin tasks including populating spreadsheets and registers
  • Monitoring compliance manuals, policies, and procedures
  • Ensuring all queries raised are answered in a timely manner
  • Work with the Operations team to ensure compliance training is delivered and logged effectively

Desirable experience:

  • Experience within financial services
  • Experience in a compliance role
  • Familiar with the FCA Handbook

Person specific:

  • A law degree is highly desirable.
  • Excellent organisation skills with ability to switch quickly between tasks
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Motivated to undertake research on new FCA guidelines etc
  • Attention to detail and an investigative mind
  • Experience of working in results and deadlinebased environment
  • Keen interest in career development and progression

Package:

  • Salary up to £30k.
