The job itself:

The East Riding of Yorkshire Council Adult Learning Skills and Workforce Development team deliver employment support, learning and skills training to adults across the East Riding

We are seeking knowledgeable and enthusiastic specialist Internal Verifiers to carry out internal quality assurance across a range of qualifications including:
Functional Skills, Employability, Counselling and Mental Health (you should have counselling practitioner experience), Special Educational Needs and Creative Craft.

You will work with tutors to ensure assessment decisions are both accurate and consistent. You will provide staff training and support staff to improve their assessment practise.

You will produce detailed IQA reports to feedback to staff, with action points when needed.

Working hours are negotiable and may include some home working. However you will also be required to attend the Centre for some work activities.


Essential criteria


You should have knowledge of the assessment and verification of National Occupational Standards and practices, equality & diversity and safeguarding.


You should have a demonstrable ability to communicate effectively to foster improvement and the sharing of good practise and have SMART action planning and report writing skills.
