We have an exciting opportunity to work within the Environmental Protection Team in the Public Protection Department of the Council.


The role:


This role will primarily deal with domestic noise and lighting statutory nuisance cases but there are opportunities to work across the wider team when required.

The Environmental Protection Team covers a wide ranging variety of work including air quality, contaminated land, noise and planning consultations.

The post holder will be required to carry out investigations and liaise with other Council Departments and external agencies.

The role is considered to be front line and will be dealing with the public to resolve complex and challenging cases.

This can involve working with social services and with the police for anti-social behaviour issues.


The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
