Service Care Solutions are looking for a Support Administrator to work within the Dyfed-Powys Police Force on a 6-month contract.

Job role/responsibilities:
To provide a comprehensive administrative support service for the Occupational Health Unit.
- To be responsible for filing and records management of medical and occupational health files, ensuring medical confidentiality is maintained and information is kept secure in line with relevant protocols.
- To provide administrative support including taking minutes, dealing with correspondence and general typing.
- Reception duties including meeting and greeting clients.
- To transcribe reports recorded by medical staff. 5. To be responsible for scanning of employee health records.
- To be responsible for destruction of employee health records after scanning.
- To support clinical staff within the department with appointments and employee contact details and sending out reports if required.
- To arrange appointments for employees to attend for assessments.
Generic Tasks:
- To communicate through the medium of Welsh to a level 1 standard or be prepared to achieve this within 6 months of appointment [Click here for the DPP Welsh Language requirements].
- To undertake as directed the transactional activities and administrative tasks required.
- To provide an effective and efficient service to both internal and external customers ensuring confidentiality is always maintained.
- To deal effectively with internal and external communication from staff and members of the public.
- To ensure force systems are maintained and updated effectively in line with business processes.
- To develop, maintain and ensure effective business processes.
- To comply and act in accordance with relevant legislation, Dyfed-Powys Police Policies, and protocols, including Code of Ethics, Personal Development Review (P.D.R), Equal Opportunities, Health & Safety, Management of Police Information, Data Protection, and Information Security.
Essential skills/experience:
- Must demonstrate proficiency at working to a high degree of accuracy and show attention to detail.
- Must have effective keyboard inputting skills enabling effective inputting and retrieval of data.
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word for word processing and Excel for data manipulation and reporting.
- Must have previous experience of delivering high standards of service to internal and external customers.
- Must have effective written and oral communication skills.
Desirable skills/experience:
- Should have working knowledge of an Occupational health or medical environment.
- Should have audio typing experience.
- Must possess GCSE's Grades A
- C, in Mathematics and English Language, or have proven relevant experience to a comparable level in numeracy and literacy.
- Must demonstrate a practical approach to problem solving.
