Responsible to:
Deputy Manager / Registered Manager

Accountable to:
Registered Manager.


Purpose of Position.


To ensure that the public areas and the service user's rooms are kept clean and free from dust, and that the home smell's fresh.


Principal Responsibilities.
Damp dust windows sills, dado rails daily along the corridors (use disposable cloths).

Hoover/Mop the corridors, empty waste bins. N.B. Night staff hoover lounge carpets.

Check all flowers vases, dead head and top up/ freshen water daily.

Hoover/Mop bedrooms, damp dust windows sills, light switches and door handles, clean wash sinks and toilets.

Pull out furniture and wash bins on bath days. (Mini spring clean).

Ensure lights are off and the door is closed after cleaning room.

Spot clean any marks on carpets.

Mop bathroom floor.

Any other reasonable tasks as requested by the Floor Manager

Maintain rules and regulations as laid down by outside bodies/ inspectorate.


To attend all mandatory updating of training as required including: Manual Handling, Health & Safety, Fire Safety, Emergency Aid and Incidence Awareness.


To take reasonable care of the Health & Safety of you, your colleagues, residents and visitors and to report without delay any accidents, faults or defects to the Floor Manager.

To ensure the effective and efficient use of the homes resources at all times.

Correct uniform must be worn at all times in compliance with Health & Safety.

To perform any other task that might reasonably be asked of you.

Job Type:
Part-time - (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday)

Part-time hours: 24 per week


Salary:
From £10.60 per hour
