We are looking for local people who are passionate about providing an outstanding level of care and going the extra mile for our residents, and, we currently have vacancies at our Valley Lodge Nursing home working full time hours a week.

The dementia support worker role relies on a passion to learn; a passion to enable people with dementia to live well; hold excellent communication skills and the ability to accept a person for who they are.

Your experience in dementia doesn't necessary need to be paid experience, you might have cared for a family member of friend.

You will need your NVQ2 or working towards it. However, we can support you with this should you be successful in gaining a role with us.

Working for Ashmere, you start your journey with us by attending our monthly new starter company induction with all new joiners from all of our homes.

We will kit you out with uniform, pay for your DBS check, regular training including the Ashmere Dementia Training Programme and maybe even spoil you with cake from time to time

Salary:
Up to £10.40 per hour
