THE ROLE:
Please note this is an internal only position open to University of Portsmouth staff only.
We announce a post-doctoral research position within the astrophysics group at the Institute of Cosmology and Gravitation.
The successful applicant will undertake high-quality postdoctoral research and innovation in astrophysics with a focus on the infra-red and X-ray properties of super-massive black holes in massive galaxy cluster environments.
They will contribute to the South Pole Telescope collaboration activities in ensuring that our astrophysics research group continues to play a leading role within the collaboration.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to engage in teaching, scholarship, research, innovation, outreach and public engagement as needed in line with the Department, Faculty and University objectives.
Closing date:
Sunday 19th May 2024. Interviews expected in late May/early June. We prefer the applicant to start as soon as possible, though there is flexibility.
