Purchase Ledger assistant in their head office in Brighton,East Sussex.


Function of the role


Responsible for providing support to the Invoicing Team with day-to-day activities to a competent standard and ensuring the Company's financial transactions are recorded accurately.


Responsibilities

  • Receive, check, and process Purchase Invoices linked to Purchase Orders;
  • Ensure all invoices are correctly coded and authorised before being processed.
  • Batching high volumes of invoices and posting them into SAGE200.
  • Manage and resolve external supplier queries / monthly reconciliation of supplier statements.
  • Maintaining an accurate purchase ledger in line with company approval levels.
  • Setting up of new supplier accounts and maintaining existing account details.
  • Processing credit card purchases for the teams, keeping digital receipts, and manage company credit card reconciliation.
  • Filing invoices and statements.
  • Assistance in other areas of our Administration Department as and when required.
  • Responsible for ensuring all tasks are undertaken in a timely manner.
  • Comply at all times with the Company's Policies and Procedures.
  • Stepup and cover for the Senior Finance Assistant when they are on leave.
  • Execute the responsibilities of the job role according to lawful and ethical standards.

Requirements:


  • Excellence attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a high volume, transaction driven environment.
  • Knowledge of SAGE200.
  • Proficient in the use of IT platforms, Outlook, Word, Excel.
  • Excellent communication, time management and organisational skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing workloads.
