Description

Our client, providers of international freight forwarding services, are currently seeking an experienced Multi-modal Imports Operative for their team based in Slough.

Your role as the Multi-modal Imports Operative will involve liaising with overseas agents / customers / hauliers, dealing with all aspects of Seafreight imports from start to finish.

You will handle all aspects of road, sea & air shipments from booking stageto final destination.

Duties continued:

Dealing with, booking with and monitor suppliers and able to negotiate rates
Presenting to customs agent paperwork for customs clearance
Maintain good customer service to the highest level and build a good customer and supplier relationship

The successful Multi-modal Imports Operative will have 1 years' deep-sea import experience and ideally, some experience of Road & Sea Freight, but training will be provided.

Having good knowledge of MS Word/Excel/Outlook and an excellent telephone manner are good attributes for this role.
