Purpose of Job
To provide efficient and effective grounds maintenance support to the our Client in
Filton, ensuring general appearance of the grounds are maintained in accordance with the required standards.
Observe safe working practices in carrying out the required duties and ensure that instructions specified by management are adhered to.
Hours:
Mon-Thurs; 6am-3pM/Fri, 6am-12pm - 39H per week
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the professional image of CBRE at all times.
- Establish and maintain a good working relationship with all CBRE employees and clients' representatives.
- Ensure that Planned Preventative Grounds & Horticultural Maintenance is carried out in line with task schedules and industry best practices. Inclusive of Winter Contingency and associated gritting.
- Identify any defects found to Line Manager.
- Attend site and carry out reactive repairs as instructed by Line Manager.
- To clear litter, leaves and debris from around the site, and clean up spillages as required.
- Using small road sweeper to clean road edges and general site
- Emptying of general waste, recycling and cigarette bins.
- To ensure that gullies, drains etc. are kept free from debris
- To dispose of waste materials in a safe, hygienic manner ensuring that it is available for collection as required.
- To undertake porterage tasks as required, deliveries etc.
- To undertake handypersons duties as directed by management as outlined below: *Painting as required / *First line maintenance of fixtures and fittings, examples: tightening screws on window hinges, maintenance on door handles, minor repairs as a temporary measure after breakins, vandalism etc.
- To maintain appropriate records for QHSE logbooks.
- To assist and host where necessary, personnel visiting the site such as Contractors.
- To comply with the requirements of Health and Safety, other relevant legislation and NMS policies.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties within the overall function of the job.

- Ability to follow schedules and planned grounds maintenance tasks

- Flexible approach to work and flexible hours (seasonable)
- May be required to work in adverse weather conditions
Required Skills:
Lantra or similar qualifications needed in sit on mowers, tractors, strimmer's, hedge cutters
Valid current driving licence
Preferred Skills
- Fork Lift truck Licence (4 tonne or less)
- Chainsaw licence
- First Aid Training
- Licence for pesticide spraying
- Licenced for trailer towing
Accountabilities
- The position is to cover the Airbus Broughton site and will report to the Head Grounds person.
- The post holder does not have any directly reporting staff.
- This post carries no direct budgetary responsibility
